From the provider: Maroon Care is a registered NDIS provider. We cover the Brisbane North / North West area and provide in home care for people over 16 years. Our staff are all fluent English speakers and qualified NDIS workers. We specialize in supporting people with Dementia, Special Needs, Autism, visual impairment, physical disabilities, interesting meal preparation and outings to places our clients like to go to. We include RN, EN and Carer services. Treating our clients with dignity and respect are our keys drivers. Our staff are highly experienced and the clinical manager, Denise has over 40 years as an RN. We are happy to make a time and come to see you. We will listen carefully to what is said and discuss care requirements in detail. From there the process is very much driven by the client. If you are thinking to engage us there is a comprehensive on-boarding process designed to ensure that our clients' wishes are foremost in preparation of a care plan. Those discussions will be held by our Clinical Director, Denise, who will document your precise requirements for inclusion in the care plan. The plan is then reviewed by all parties, amended as required then set for commencement of service. We will discuss staff to be allocated and ensure that we have your agreement before assigning carers (meet and greet). There will always be one extra carer designated to cover absence of the primary carer (for sickness, leave etc) but who will be known to the client. This prevents 'unknown person' shock, which is a very real concern for many people. As far as meals are concerned, we will assist (when required) to prepare daily meals, and also happy to prepare meals for the future and freeze them (labeled). We find this gives our clients an extra degree of flexibility / convenience / cost saving, and also helps when clients invite their friends around for a meal. Generally, the meals just need to go in the microwave. In terms of getting through the day, we often take our clients across to places like Sandgate waterfront, parks and other places that our clients like to go to. Depending on mobility going for walks, shopping trips, visiting friends, doctors and the hairdresser are popular things to do. Our staff are all current with manual handling, first aid, NDIS training modules and where required Registered and Enrolled nursing services. Every staff member, without exception, is fluent in English to ensure we understand exactly what our clients want and can respond in a manner that is easily understood. We are not a large company so our care is very much individually structured and client focused. We have been in business for just over one year however our staff have been doing this for up to 40 years, so we have a huge depth of caring experience. We live and work right here. You will be dealing with real people, not a corporation. You won't be disappointed.
