Accomplish Physiotherapy

Exercise Physiology

From the provider: I am James and I would like to introduce myself as a physiotherapist who is passionate about working with NDIS and home care clients by empowering them to achieve their goals. I am also happy to do social and domestic work. I graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University in 2022, and since then, I’ve gained valuable experience treating patients in both private clinics and home settings. I’m also trained in dry needling, teaching clinical pilates and serve as the head of hydrotherapy at another clinic I also currently work at. I recently opened my own clinic at 705 Waverley Road in Glen Waverley. I am also fluent in Mandarin, which can help non-English speaking patients express themselves better with me. I am happy to offer in clinic treatment and home visits including but not limited to South East Melbourne areas surrounding Glen Waverley, Box Hill and Malvern. I have extensive experience working with NDIS and home care participants, seeing patients on a weekly basis over the past 2 years. This includes normalising a gait for a lady with foot drop, preventing falls and addressing gait deficits to alleviate knee pain in a patient with autism, delaying progression and optimising treatment for a patient with multiple sclerosis. I am also fluent in Mandarin, which can help non-English speaking patients express themselves better with me. I find it very rewarding working with disabled and elderly patients to achieve their goals. I enjoy collaborating closely with other allied health professionals and coordinators within the patient’s support network. I find creativity in my treatments, such as using resistance bands to help an autistic patient kick a yoga ball or getting a patient to walk uphill with a weighted backpack to boost exercise compliance. Common conditions I can treat but aren’t limited to include: · Stroke rehabilitation and other neurological disorders · Traumatic brain injuries · Autism Spectrum Disorder · Multiple Sclerosis · Cerebral Palsy · Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy · Parkinson's Disease · Arthritis · Falls and balance prevention/maintenance
